Have you ever wondered how those clips are made to look like time is passing? Is it wizardry? Not really, but understanding the method in which to shoot the images and then put them together does require some guidance. The Jedi Master is here to help.

Students will be required to have a movie-making program (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Microsoft Movie Maker, iMovie).

Session One

The technical aspects to shooting a time lapse are essential. One needs to understand how to best shoot the images as well as angles and distance from the subject. This session outlines the shooting technique required for time lapses.

Students will be required to shoot their own set of photographs to make up the time lapse for the next session.

Session Two

We will take the images shot and will add them into a movie-making program. We will look at adding a backing track to the clip as well as duration each frame should require.

Upon completion of this course you will ready to shoot all your own time lapses and document time like a pro.
